Of course, this method is the easiest, but having a similar laptop available to try is a rarity in most cases unless your laptop is very common and your friend seems to have one lying around. And of course, like many other methods where you need to remove the battery from the laptop, this method, too, won’t be of any help to you if you have a laptop with a non-detachable battery.

2. Using an external battery charger

Some detachable laptop batteries have the ability to hook up with an external battery charger. If that’s the case with your laptop, then you need to get an external battery charger, and what you need to make sure is that this external battery charger is compatible, which is getting the one with the same number of pins interface as is required by the port in the battery itself. 

3. Charging through a USB cable

If the case with your battery is that it is just not taking power from the charger, then you can try this USB method to charge the battery manually. However, the case with most laptops is that they only come with Type A or B USB ports. These are the conventional ports available on most of the laptops, and along with sending and receiving data, they can also help transfer power but only being on the sending end.
